Kistler Engines was established in 1993 and builds lightweight, high performance racing engines with a commitment to quality. We pride ourselves in high tech, innovative designs, producing highly competitive engines for sprint cars (410 c.i., 360 c.i. & 305 c.i.), as well as, late models & midgets. Kistler Engines has also earned a great reputation for our service among professional race teams due to our quick turnaround time on rebuilds.

We use of state-of-the art equipment, the highest standard quality parts and invest in constant research and development. Kistler Engines is setting the standard in the ultra competitive field of dirt track racing today. Customers powered by our engines have set numerous quick times, track records. They have also won on the local level as well as on national traveling series such as the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, All Star Circuit of Champions and USAC.

Kistler Engines is proud of its recent addition of being engine builder for Knoxville Nationals 2016 champion, elevating their accomplishment to a total of 5 times Kistler Engines has powered a sprint car to this prestigious award.

Cast Iron Block
Kistler Engines uses its CNC machine to line bore, bore block then lifter bushings installed and it is decked in CNC machine.

Cylinder Heads
One of the most important components to building a highly competitive, well-running, reliable motor is the cylinder heads. They require a great deal of technical design to achieve and maintain a HP edge. They are required to be an All Pro or Brodix “spec” 305 head to compete in 305 series racing.

Fuel Injection Systems
Kinsler or Engler fuel injections are used. Butterfly size is limited to 2 3/16″ maximum.

Oil Pumps
Wet sump oil pumps are required for 305 series as another cost containment measure the series provides.

Mag
Blueprinted magnetos are used.
